She was charged with the theft of $5,500 worth of items from Saks Fifth Avenue.

COUNT ONE - Not Guilty of 2nd commercial burglary - This charge was regarding whether or not she entered the store with the intent to steal the items.

COUNT TWO - Guilty of Grand Theft of Personal Property - The actual theft.

COUNT THREE - Guilty of Vandalism - Using scissors to cut away the anti-theft tags.

EDIT for explanation of charges.

She's still out on bond until her parole and sentancing hearing.

Even though these were felony charges, I'd be amazed if she does anything more than community service and probation.

Depends, do the three counts she is guilty on, count as three strikes?

I think she should be penalized the same as anyone else with the same crime, altho she is capable of recompensincing society in a better way if her wages are garnished, say 30% of her take for the next three movies?

I find it interesting that the jury found her innocent of the burglary charge. That basically means they weren't convinced she entered the store with the "intent" to steal anything, but they did find her guilty of vandalism for using the scissors she brought with her to the store to cut away the anti-theft tags. She will likely get probation. As would almost any first-time shoplifting offender. Yes, being rich and famous unfortunately affects these things, reminding me of the song "Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous" LOL.

The scissors: I know many women who carry a small set of scissors in their purses.

And, no matter what, I still think she's way cute.
