OK. I remember that when I was looking for Safina's treasure cave, I found something else.

She told me to look along the east coast- so I did. I think I was on the map section just under Candlekeep (perhaps the one with the crazy bloke who has lost his item aboard a ship) and I was scouring the east coast cliff face with a fine tooth comb.

Right on the edge of your visibility (just within the shroud of black), embedded in the cliff side, if you find the EXACT place, your pointer will flicker to the ENTER pointer. There is nothing there to see- just rock. But the pointer changes if you can find the right position. Of course, you can't investigate it because its on the side of a cliff!

Is this a bug, or a secret? Has anyone else discovered this?

(I eventually found Safina's cave BTW)

No, I haven't seen the cave!

Did you try clicking on it to go in? Because that might make you take an available route into it!

Exactly where is Safina's cave? Is it the same map that has the ship that contains the Ring of Folly?

No - the cave is on the map south of it - the one where you meet her.

Just search along the coast.

Safina's cave has got those annoying sirens in front of it...and maybe a few carrion crawlers just below it.

I did click on this "secret cave" entrance, but the characters could only walk up to the cliff ledge and no further.

Hmmm, do you have the cheats enabled? If so, you could try to 'Hans' or Ctrl-J over there and see if it's really something. I know it's cheating, but it would quench our curiosity... and if you find any uber-equipment there and don't want to disrupt your gameplay, you can just reload from before you went in. The game's not installed on my hard drive right now, otherwise I would try it myself... If you do investigate, keep us posted on your findings.

Me, curious? Nah...

Gosh how I love that Safana - so seductive! Anyhoo, those Sirines I defeated with little trouble because I had some decent spells by that stage. Whereabouts can you find this secret cave? Which map do you mean?

Hmmm... since I recently reinstalled the game in order to play through as a fighter (before I've only tried magi, druids or bards as my main character) I've been doing a little scouring, but I'm afraid I can't find this cave. If you can find it again, could you post the coordinates, as Darkman suggested? I'm still quite curious.
