How do you kill these?

use melfs minute meteors, or fire arrows or fire magic to permenently kill them, like trolls electricity will make them split into two.. what i did was pick up a copy of elminsters appendix and throw it in a bag of holding, to reference against such things in the future.. it has been handy.

Yep, keep one copy of that book. You get like twenty of them, It tells you what you need to know

Thanks! I had a copy of the book with me but like you said you get a million copies of it, so I eventually ditched it
