Hi LadyRae! Ok this kind of like monopoly, bank error in your favor card. Lets say someone who we'll call....JOHN DOE got a new credit card and transfered lets say $1350 of a balance from a high interest card to the new one. Now lets say I err JOHN DOE just got his statement from the high interest card which shows an additional $1000 payment from the new card, completely clearing his balance and actually showing a $278 CREDIT on a $2600 limit card. Now lets say JOHN DOE was puzzled by this and checks out his balance on the other new card and finds no record of an additional $1000 balance transfer. Does JONH DOE hope for the best and keep his mouth shut or will he get caught and screwed ? Anyone ever have this happen?

Hi LadyRae

I take it you saw my earlier post bak on page 1?

I'm supposedly a software engineer, but I think they expect me to be a miracle worker.

How are you?

I hate to say this, but you will be much better off in the long run if you call the card company and tell them about it... been there done that. They eventually would find the error on their own.

Hmmmmm, I'm thinking that y-- er, John Doe would probably find this catching up to him some day at the most inconvenient time, beuocracy (sp?) is an all-engulfing evil and does always win! Of course you,um he could probbly put it off&play dumb if it catches up before y--he tells... That's a hard one Paul...

I am fairly active about my finances...I would call and straighten it out...but you can wait... it will probably snowball and then you will have to deal with a bigger mess.
