I found Egenia, and the villagers. I believe I cleared the whole level, but I cannot find the way to the third level. Is there even one? I am lost

Yup, it should be in the bottom/left quarter of the map, in the area where the trolls were. It's sort of a spiral circle path thingy. In the center is the door down to the next level.

Welcome, Tracysim! Yes, as Axterix said. Go right, past the circle Egenia is standing in, and you will find a path that goes in a spiral. It's a double path, actually, but only the inner one leads to the door.
