Every time I leave the server, it seems like I manage to crash it?
Is there a proper way to disconnect? I wouldnt mind so much, but I had one character dump all her good stuff in the Inn and couldnt reconnect with my new character until the server had recovered... so I've got to get it all again No more gloves of pain Boooooooooooooooooo

The server resets on disconnect. If you are the only person on then if you disconnect the server will reset. The reset can take a few minutes where you will see the server as being down.
Only way you can transfer from one person to another is if there is someone else on the server at the same time.

I'm not too bothered by it in truth. Earlier in the day I'd actually successfully soloed through the Trollbark dungeon, and lost hours of play when the server crashed
I felt like restarting anyway. Might have been nice to have some good equipment, but its always nice going through the game again. Quick question: Does a high Wisdom help you resist spells, or is it high Intelligence? EDIT: How long is the server going to be down for? [ 02-20-2006, 10:54 PM: Message edited by: Dace De'Briago ]

I'd say it depends on the type of spell. Will saves are wisdom based, fort saves are constitution, and reflex saves are dex. Not sure what int would do for you, unless you are detecting illusions? I'm not really sure though.

It's a high will save I'm after, I 'think'.
I need to be able to resist that horrible implosion spell... is that a fort save or will?

Implosion is a fort save.

Hate that spell.
Only works on PCs most of the time. The few times it works on my foes, I would have been better off using Destruction or Finger Of Death. At least those spells inflict damage whenever they fail (if not resisted outright). Then again, I have never gone Implosion crazy on Levels 1 and 2 before.

You can be a mass murderer on lvl one with it, if you cast it in the right area, with enough critters in the area of effect.

I figure this thread is only a few days overdue, so it shouldn't qualify as necromancy. just didn't feel like starting something brand new when it could be fit into a previously existing area. I know that Ziroc has tinkered with the reset timing before, but I forgot if it worked well when it was "five minutes after last logging off." I know there was a fifteen minute setting, the immediate reset (which is what the server is currently operating with), and I believe there was a full hour setting as well briefly toyed with (but that really didn't work). I was wondering, however, if we could sample the five minute setting again? Unless, of course, there are more people now finally returning after the long winter and relatively cool spring. If that is the case, the server will be reset less because there will be people online more hours of the day in a row.
