i wished i had a modded xbox. i don't go live anyway. i would only use it to make copies of games that i legally bought so that i won't have to use and scratch up the original discs.

Can you mod an xbox to write new games???? Couldn't you use your CDR to do it, then?? And, can you??

I have had 30 or more Xbox games, and I've yet to have scratch issues. Of course, I've got no kids running around or pets.

Heh, the disks are DVDs, but I do think it's possible to get one installed, heck you could get anything you wanted installed.

That isn't true. If you decide to modify your X-box there are still plenty of other places you can go to play games online, you just won't be able to use X-Box Live, which is how it should be. It pretty clearly states when you sign up for the service that it is for use with unmodified hardware only, if someone couldn't live with that, then the shouldn't have signed up for the service to begin with.

No they don't they decide who they will let use thier online serice, nothing is stoping you from doing whatever you want to do to your X-Box.

And why should that affect our freedoms?
What about microsofts freedom to decide who they are going to provide a service to?
