Hmmm...makes me want to make a new thread! But I don't suppose that's a good thing...

One question, though...IS it better to post in an existing thread or to make a new one when the existing thread is dead? We tend to just post a new one to avoid "thread necromancy..."

The wait was pretty long, for not much effect...how is it that this one was so big of a file?

Generally, I think the mods prefer us to avoid thread necromancy. I've seen at least one person banned for blatant abuses of it... but, what counts as thread necromancy is often a matter of distinct opinion: if you are responding directly to the points raised in a post in the thread, *I* think it would be generally OK - but others think it can make you look a bit silly. Also, it depends on just how long the thread has been 'dead' for... if it's only been a couple of months, we can generally seem to get away with bumping it for some constructive reason. If it's been dead for two years, on the other hand, the mods definately don't seem to like it.
