I had Minsc go beserk against the mindflayers, rushing a room of them. Guess what? he didn't go yellow (confused). It turns out it is because he wields Lilacor--it prevents him from being confused. And the much maligned ranger is a lot better beserk, it adds +2 dex and +2 str. If you keep AI on he will try to attack members but you can command him to do something else. Also, casting chaotic commands on him will have the same effect. I can't believe I missed out on Minsc going beserk for all this time.

Bumping. Did everyone know this already? I really regret not having Minsc go beserk all the time in chap 2-6!

I had him go berserk when clearing out the slavers near the Copper Coronet. I didn't even think of it when he stopped attacking and I could control him while still breserk. I had moved my party away from him and I just thought he had a different style of breserk than Korgan and others. I totally missed the Lilacor connection.
