hello iron workers.

what is the best way to make money along the sword coast?
hunting bandits is too slow...

Picking up magic items and selling them. I pick up everything that's magical, and all jewelry and gems. If you go through every map diligently, killing enemies and looting them, and doing all the quests, you should be rolling in cash by the time you hit the Gate.

A high-charisma character with the Nymph Cloak and high reputation works wonders too.

You actually don't even need to be rolling in money once you hit the Gate: Once you've bought everything you want from High Hedge and the Thunderhammer Smithy, there is almost literally nothing left in the game to buy.

ADD: Friends can be a very useful spell. Oh, yes indeedy.

And you can always make tons of cash by going all burglarizical an' stuff.

I generally agree for items/weapons/armor... but you can still buy tons of magical ammo, and those are expensive.

However, it does seem to be the trend in many games... when you need those items from merchants you don't have money for them... and when you finally have the money you already have found better items... I mean did anyone ever buy any standard +1 weapons in BG1/2 or IWD1/2? You only buy some unique items and that's it.

I like to pick off Bassilus for some quick cash. That's five grand in easy pickings. Other than that, I recommend exploring the maps on the western shoreline, and also hunting around the areas south of Nashkel to get a hold of some winter wolf pelts. They fetch a pretty good sum of money from the Nashkel storekeep. And Durlag's Tower, durr.

yeah but if i was really playing evil, i would have a really low rep. i killed him for his stuff and because he thinks he is awsome. so yoan my bard shot him with his crossbow in the face, while he was trying his best to hit kagain.
