Just curious ... Does anyone else have a name for their car(s)? If so, how did you choose it?

In the Pangur household, cars are named from the letters on the registration plate, incorporating a cat theme. First car "KFB-xxx" became "Kitty FurBalls". Our current car, is fondly referred to as "■■■■■ White Paws".

Our friends did suggest some very rude things that PWP *could* have meant ...

My first car was a 1979 Holden Torana and my friends named it 'Terd' cos I we used to go rallying in it and once I slid off the road and down a ditch (totally my fault) anyway, I illegally straightened the chasis and got new pannels for it, the only thing was the pannels were shit brown. Hence the name 'Terd'.
My new car however also has a name '@#^&$%^ FORD PIECE OF %$&*!!' - not that I hate ford's

Hmmm My first car was called "The Flintstone Mobile" because it had no floorboards or windows heh heh heh.

I called my Ford LTD "Found On Road Dead~Left To Die"

My El Camino was "My Baby" because it only ever broke down in front of my house (with the exception of the one time it had a flat in front of a tire shop lol).

My present car is called "Mampaw's Car" because it used to belong to Rex's grandpa and that (Mampaw) is their pet name for him instead of Grandpa. Its definitely an old person's car (1987 or 88?) Chevy Celebrity. People treat it like there is an old person behind the wheel LOL...Rex and I both hate driving it for that reason but the cruise control and AC both rock, not to mention that the engine is in new condidtion.

A friend and I used to play "the license plate game" while we drove either across town or on trips together...he was pretty nasty when it came to using the plate initials to describe the driver so I can just imagine what our friends came up with for PWP LOL

i have a 97 grand am SE and I call her 'emerald', because she is a green color, my buddy has an 81 isuzu i-mark that he calls 'scarlet', no it's not red its actually white, he told me he thought scarlet was kind of an old lady's name, so he thought that that would be perfect for his car, being that it is seldom in running condition.

Galadria's car when we got married was named "Felicia Firebird," but she doesn't have a name for her present car, a Mazda Miata. My Suburban we call "the Twuck" because that is what my younger son (age 4) calls it. Before you ask, he just calls the Miata, "Mommy's Liddle Car."
