I don't get the whole shoe thing though, I buy a pair and wear them for a year, then get another pair because, like the rest of my body, my feet don't stop growing If loyalty means they stick around when you throw them against walls because you more than slightly mad, then I guess I have very loyal shoes [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Mostly shoes stink! unless they have never been worn! then they smell like dead cow or rubber but never the less shoes just stink!

Anyone who has ever mistreated their hiking boots on a long trek can well attest that shoes do NOT provide unconditional love. Set them on fire while drying them out just once.....

While I love each and every pair of my shoes, I can say that the best ones do not come without a price.

#1) They are not free!

#2) I now have to borrow my own favorite leather sandals from my namesake if I want to wear them! She'll tell you that they give HER unconditional love but if I remember correctly they rubbed a raw spot on the top of my feet when I broke them in.

#3) Dogs who love to chew and leather shoes do not mix...no pics to post but believe me when I tell you it was a brutal death that came upon the shoes!

Yorick....thongs in America are also sandals, just not the rubbery "flip-flop" (a northern term btw) kind. Normally made of leather with a toe-strap or central strap that separates the big toe from the rest, thongs are also produced in plastic, vinyl and "jels" (not to be confused with traditional :jellies").
