Locked/trapped chests in Saradush

I HAVE JUST uncovered the traitor in saradush and unfortunately there are a couple of chests in the upstairs of his house that I can't open after I have detected the traps present. Imoen can't seem to disarm them. Are there any ways to get the stuff inside other than disarming the trap? I can't even trigger the trap now. Is it worth even caring about?

Drink some potions to boost Imoen's thieving skills. Potion of Power and Potion of er... Something( white with a purple tinge) will boost her skills.

Congrats on the promotion dundee.

The following potions affect theiving skills.

Potion of Master theivery - raises lock picking and pickpocketing, 40%.

Potion of Perception - the one that Dundee was talking about, raises find/remove traps, pick pockets and lockpicking, 20%.

Potion of Power - 20% extra on all theiving skills.

The first one is pretty much useless - pickpocketing is a waste of time in 99% of cases, lock picking is why Knock was invented.

The other two are very useful though.

Any merchant selling potions should carry them in stock. Quite expensive though.
