ok, my char got blinded whilst in irenicus's first dungeon and somehow, i didn't notice this little glitch until i'd left the dungeon . basically, my char isn't blinded but his veiw is still the same as if he was...meaning as a spell caster he has to run up to people to cast spells...
so far, to deal with it, i've tried sleeping to see if it wares off, blinding him and casting dispel (which didn't actually dispel the blindness spell) then i slept more and the blindness wore off but he still couldn't see past his own nose, now i'm trying making an item that gives him "clear fog of war"(the thing designed to let wizard eyes look though dungeons for you) but i haven't tested it yet, and do't think it will work...does anyone have any suggestions? i have BG2 and ToB installed....and i really don't want to have to restart (i hate the first dungeon, its soooooo boring) edit: i've found out i happened during the circus thing, with the illusionist gnome... thanks for any help mark [ 08-28-2003, 07:52 AM: Message edited by: Bruce The Aussie ] |

Try installing Dungeon-Be-Gone from http://www.forgottenwars.net and playing through again? Many, many other players share your sentiment about Chateau Irenicus--including me!

Urgh, this is a terrible bug. Memory is fuzzy on what was the solution. Try Heal from a Temple. SK may be your only other route if you do not want to reload.

IIRC you can make all negative effects on your cahr disappear with Ctrl+R
That should also get rid of the blindness. I once had that glitch myself and never got rid of it. Make sure you install the Baldurdash fixes I think they prevent it from happening.
