I just finished Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance for PS2 and let me tell you, it was one FUN ride! The greates thing about it is something that happens after you finish the game and go to start a new one...I won't spoil now because I don't want to deny anyone else the sheer glee that I felt when this thing happened. Anyone else played it or have thoughts one it?

It uses a variation of 3rd Edition rules and you have three options for a character (gotta keep it simple for the console crowd, ya know! ) You can play a human archer, a dwarven fighter or an elven sorceress. I played through as a fighter and am starting over now with a sorceress. Pretty nifty, I say... Lemme hear your views!!

Yeah I played it. It was fun, although I think it took a little much from Diablo 2. A decent storyline, and some really nasty bosses. Very nice looking too. You can still cheat and import your cool stuff from another game. Not that I do that or anything.

Had a ball playing it with my daughter. She already wants to buy the next one (which isn't out yet).

I own it, and yeah, I enjoyed it as a CONSOLE game . Really was fun playing with my sisters and Wife!!

It's sad though, they have stated that they won't be doing a sequel to it.. and after that ending?!?!?!!? WHAT!?!?

So whats the ending like? Spoil me! Come on! I'm missing my PS2 here in Australia..

And Dark Alliance is a hell of a ride. Not too hard to complete, but unbelievably fun on two-player mode. I think having a friend sitting next to you when you're playing it just gives it the extra edge against a lot of other games on the PS2. Not to mention the special effects.. did anyone notice the water effects? I mean WOW!
