I wear a silver intertwining celtic braid ring on my left ring finger all the time except for when washing hands or sleeping. My girlfriend gave it to me for Christmas.

Before that..haha...we had some cheaper silver rings with cubic zerconium (sp?) stones set around them. Bought them about a year back and lost them within about 6 months. I swear the thing was mixed with something other than silver because my finger near the joint was black if I wore the ring, and by the time I lost it, a third of the stones had popped off.

I'm thinking it's something I must have missed along the way, Illumina! But I've heard the term on television so I at least have half a clue what it means! LOL Anyone know where it came from or why it's so popular?

Cienden, the braided silver ring sounds very nice. LOL, I guess you lost the other one just in time, before it self-destructed and took out your finger with it!

Congratulations Cloudbringer! Marriage is an amazing thing (both preparing for and afterwards)! I got married last June... what a great day and everyday has been since then!

Oh, and we have wedding bands of yellow and white gold that intertwines, meeting together at a small diamond in the center... supposed to mean two valuable, but different persons joining together to form one greater being. (well... not THE greater being... hehe)

Sigh... where are my manners? I should have said hello to everyone first. Hello!

Ehrys: Congrats to YOU, as well, then!

Yes, I agree, marriage is pretty amazing...well, the prep is so far, but I'm looking forward to the aftwerwards, too.

OOOH, those bands sound gorgeous! What a nifty symbolism, as well! Ours are white gold. They've got a 'flat' look in the middle with slight beveling on the edges.

I've never seen Indian rings before... what do they look like? What makes them Indian?
