Assuming you have assembled a party of adventurers ((thois is done in the Town Inn from memory)
Kit them out if you wish at the armoury, temple etc
Click on the gates of the City
This should get you up and running

There is an issue in some towns if you're running Win2k or XP. You need to expand the town AVI files, as discussed in the Technical Answers thread up top. Then you'll be able to click on either gate to exit.

As Featherstone said, you also need to have at least one character in your party. Create them at the inn and then add them to your party. Their pictures in the Inn should turn gray, indicating they're out on adventure.

If that doesn't help, respond back with more details and we'll see what we can do

if you are using any windows above 95 or 98 (this means instal the virtual dub if you have these 2000 me xp and so on) you well he to install the Virtual Dub

you well also have to start a party in the town inn if you dont have the V-Dub (virtual dub) then you can only exit the left gate, you should also instal the patch because there are alot of things that well make you crash the patxh fixes some also you should be running the program in compatability mode for windows 98 or 95 (i use 95 and have no problems at all)

Hey Nanobyte!

So you've decided to try playing again. It has been a long time. Featherstone told you the basics that you need to remember to get started and Bungleau has pointed out the techie problems running with XP or Win2K. Did you change computers? Did you keep any of your saved games or are you starting completely from scratch?

I'm sure you'll start remembering how the game is played soon!
