Hey you all,

Great to hear from you! I believe that are one or two more here on the board that are from Tennessee. I saw your name Lady Avalon, I just wasn't sure where in Tennessee you were from. I fellow Pat Head Summit and the girls too! I get
to Nashville on occasion. The company I work for has it's headquarters
there. Love the Batman Building! Slackerboy, I've never been to Smyrna, so I can't say much about it. But I'm glad you are here! John D, my parents own land up in Cosby and they will be moving to Sevierville at the end of this month. That's a beautiful area! By the way, as to the ROLL TIDE thing, all I can say is we'll see you in in Tuscaloosa (I think thats where we're playing) and we'll be coming back happy!

LofA, sorry I'm already spoken for, but if my status changes, I'll be sure to let you know (haha)!!!

Moni, Thanks for the compliment. There are very few places that I've been that I like as well. One of them though is where Caleb is from Tacoma WA. I had the pleasure to be out there about fifteen years ago and I thought it was beautiful.
Wet, but beautiful.

Caleb "Roll Tide" refers to the Alabama Crimson Tide" and It's what they say in Alabama when they are cheering on their football team. Tennessee and Alabama
have one of the oldest and greatest revelaries (sp) in college football.

I've never been to Tacoma, but want to visit there.
I have friends in Oregon and to miss seeing WA on the trip would be a shame.

Cool Nick1979. I though there was one more out there!!! I think we may be one of the heavier represented state on the board! California probably has us beat though. And Texas too, mustn't make our brothers and sisters down there mad at
us!!!

Its go back to the 20's and 30's when the University of Alabama football teams whipped just about everybody including the UofW Huskies.UofA rolled over their opponents like the tide rolling in, crimson and white are their colors. We give the Tenn. Vols a hard time out of respect, because like the "Bear" said you can't win the SEC with out beating the Tennessee Vols.

John D, one of my fondest memories was when we finally beat the Bear in Neyland
stadium, after Alabama had beat us something like 9 or 10 years in a row. They
don't make coaches like him anymore! Hat's of to Alabama!

Wish that I was on ol' Rocky Top,
down in the Tennessee hills;
Ain't no smoggy smoke on Rocky Top;
Ain't no telephone bills;
Once I had a girl on Rocky Top;
Half bear, other half cat;
Wild as a mink, but sweet as soda pop,
I still dream about that;

Once two strangers climbed ol' Rocky Top,
lookin' for a moonshine still;
Strangers ain't come down from Rocky Top;
Reckon they never will;
Corn won't grow at all on Rocky Top;
Dirt's too rocky by far;
That's why all the folks on Rocky Top
get their corn from a jar;

I've had years of cramped-up city life
Trapped like a duck in a pen;
All I know is it's a pity life
Can't be simple again.

Rocky Top, you'll always be
home sweet home to me;
Good ol' Rocky Top;
Rocky Top, Tennessee;
Rocky Top, Tennessee.

Rocky Top, by Boudleaux and Felice Bryant, is the offical fight song of the University of Tennessee Volunteers!!!

Ah, now you are making me miss the Bluegrsss Festivals!
"Orange Blossom Special" is one of my favs.
My dad built a dulcimer, got the pieces from an old man in the Smokeys, I used to play it but never learned anything more than "Old Blue"

Moni
I need a hill-fix LOL!
