Planescape: Torment
Sheesh, if NWN's interface slept with BG's interface and had a baby, that's what it would be... the worst elements of inifinity engine with awkward radial menus on top.
I guess it's just a matter of getting used to, but meanwhile I have questions: 1. Is there any way of reading the message log like the ones in BG and IWD? I can bring up the dialogue window log, but that only contains dialogues... all other messages just appear above a character for a second and disappear... 2. Whenever I talk with someone, even if someone else is selected, the Nameless one will come forward to do the talking. Is this just the way the game is designed?

Re: Planescape: Torment
You're going to have trouble finding answers. It's been years for most of use who have played that game. Sorry can't help.

Do a search for old PST threads in the Misc Games forum. Also several semi-regular posters here know that game well, so be patient.
I'm fairly sure the answer to question 2 is yes.

Re: Planescape: Torment
Unfortunately the issue mentioned above applies..I remember it took me several attempts to get anywhere in the game, because I found it difficult to get into the game.
I've only played it through once, though, so I can't remember it very well..but I can tell you that it starts making sense after a while, hehe. And it's an interesting storyline with loads of cool dialogue(which I found to be the most interesting part of the game, because as you said, the mechanics isn't anything to get excited over..), so I'd say definitely worth the effort.

Re: Planescape: Torment
I have not played it myself, but 2 is what I would expect, BG2 had a protagonist after all. P:T has a plot that centers very much around the Nameless one, so I would expect that he would dominate any conversation.

Re: Planescape: Torment
Many of the conversations in the game have different options, depending on Nameless Ones' stats.
There are also conversations that can increase his stats, or change his class, or change his alignment. Gamefaqs has a lot if information : http://www.gamefaqs.com/computer/dos...me/187975.html Spellhold Studios has a fix pack, a tweak pack and an unfinished business mod : http://www.spellholdstudios.net/ie/pst-fixpack |
