After my RAID 0 problem I went and bought two more HDDs and set up RAID 0 + 1 and because this throws Win98se into spasms I went and bought Win 2000 pro.

And BG2 crashes every couple of mins Anyone else had this problem?

My system

AMD 1.2Ghz TB
ABIT KT7A-RAID
512 MB Infinieon SD-Ram
4 IBM 60xgp 40gig @ RAID 0 + 1
Hercules Prophet III
Hercules Game Theater XP

Newest 4 in 1 drivers
Newest WHQL Drivers
Windows 2000 pro with SP2
Windows 2000 AMD AGP patch installed

Latest BG2 patch

This is driving me nuts, I still have allmost the same system I had before only the OS is different. If anyone has tips for me please post them.

I've had some problems with my Hercules Fortissimo II sound card playing slow sounds, but no crashes in win2k. I have a similar, if not quite as [H]ard, a system: 1.0Ghz tbird, 256MB RAM, IBM 75GXP hdd (no RAID), EPoX 8KTA3 mobo, Visiontek GeForce2 GTS 32MB.

Does win2k crash or just BGII?

I hate replies like this but here goes:
I've been using W2K since release and have never had a problem with crashes. I did have a problem when I rebuild the PC the second time as it was sharing lots od IRQ's which really slowed the game up.
Are you running full screen, are you using one of the unofficial screen resolutions? - I use 1024 without a hitch and I havn't got as powerful PC as you (PII 400 with PCI 32MB Video) - try 800x600 for a short while to see if that fixes any problems
Good luck
