I was just wondering if it would be worth the time to rest in dangerous areas, in order to attract random monsters to kill for XP.
I've downloaded and installed the XP cap remover and just thought about levelling up my characters before continuing on.

Yes, it is worthwhile in some areas, but the chances of you getting bored before maxing out are very high.
My preferred area is on lvl 3 of Dragon's Eye. Cold wights aren't hard to kill, they give good XP, and they come in numbers. A good combination. As an added tip, bump up the difficulty of your party while resting - Insane gives twice as much XP as Core (normal) difficulty. DE lvl 3 is also THE best place because of the terrain. There's a few alcoves where you can put the party (thus protecting weaker characters) while leaving a tank a few steps in front. Cast Protection from Fire on said tank for an even better result - Fireball and Agannazar's Scorcher earn their keep here, as does Wall of Moonlight if you have a druid (er, if you also have HoW, which you might not, since you had to download the XP cap remover).

If you have HoW it is also worth resting in LDD in the area *outside* Malavon's estate (the one with umber hulks where you find pale justice). The umber hulks give you 4000 XP each and aren't too hard to kill.
Of course, if you don't have HoW, the area is very late in the game and probably not worth it by that time. EDIT: typos [ 09-04-2005, 09:42 PM: Message edited by: ZFR ]

Thanks for the tips, fellas. I don't have HoW, but I will venture to Dragon's Eye and camp there for a while.
