That all depends on who you are playing
and who is in your party. The best places to gain experience are also the hardest areas in the game. Here are a few of the easier ones: Nalia's quest Trademeet Umar Hills |

There is the quest to get Montaron for Xzar - you get 60,000 xp each for doing nothing.

Ok, I've already done Nalia's quest. I just got through killing Firkraag (nice 64k xp there). I remember in BG1 that Durlag's Tower was an excellent place to camp. Any place like that in BGII?

the unseeing eye in tempel and the qeust with yoshimo ( enter docks with yoshimo)
