im using cloak of reflection and shield og harmony + 2-equipping korgan with speed and death ward yet still a beholder casts anti magic ray and he vanishes from screen-what am i doing wrong-surely nothing can get past this defense as he is magically equipped and ar -8

You most probably bumped into an Elder Orb.
Never, never, NEVER let an Elder Orb come next to you, they will cast Imprisonment and your character will vanish. Get a ranged attacker to fight them, keeping a safe distance away from them. Alternatively, you could get a Mage with Spell Immunity( Abjuration) to tank them, but they cast high-level Remove Magic and the like, so that is not really effective. You can also Web them and shoot them to death. Oh... you could also lay a trap ambush and lure them to said trap ambush. Just to let you know, Imprisonment ignores Magic Resistance. ------------------ If not a Sorcerer casting total oblivion, then a Paladin meting out justice.
