Just keep feeding them greens. Do you mean the actual breeding or the racing?

Red FFVII master steps in... Okay if you're going to breed some chocobos here are a *few* golden rules.

Rule #1 Know what you're breeding. If you're breeding a blue or red. chocobo. Don't catch anything lower than a good chocobo. These can be found by the tracks south of Corel. These need a carob nut, and are chosen at random. Best to breed one save, wait awhile and then get the other. Black chocobos are gained by breeding a blue and red chocobo together with a carob nut. Gold chocobos are gained by breeding a black and wonderful chocobo with a zeio nut. Wonderful chocobos are found at the chocobo tracks by that town near the north crater. Alright I forgot what the town is called okay?

Rule #2. Don't use the wrong nut! Carob nuts can be stolen from the red dinosaur monster near bone village. (The name escapes me...)
Zeio nuts can be stolen from the goblins on the islands south of Cosmo Canyon. You'll have to use the highwind to get there.

Rule #3. Use the best greens. The greens bought from the Chocobo sage are by far the best. They're the most expensive ones. Reagen and Syllis I think. Don't bother wasting your cash on any of the others. Every chocobo should have about 25 of *each* Man i hoped you sold some master all materia for this!

Rule #4 Race your chocobos. You're not going to get anywhere if you don't race your chocobos. If you're trying to get a red or blue one, make sure they are in rank B. Rank A if you're going for a black chocobo, and Rank A or S if you're going for a gold. Trust me you won't have much luck otherwise...

Red master of FFVII shall exit the building now. Thank you...

Well,this is my terrain also

First of all,rent all 6 stables.After that,catch a chocobo near
the gold saucer, who is in company of 2 spencers. That's a good
chocobo.Next, catch one near rocket town or Mideel. The one near
Mideel must be accompanied by sprirals,1 or 2,and the one near RT must be accompanied by either 2 valrons or 2 kyuvilduns.Feed them,
til their stats are max.Race them until they reach at least class A.
Next, breed them, give them a carob nut (steal from vlakorados near bone village)and hope for a blue or green chocobo.Feed it,race it (repetitive,i know) until it reaches class S.Now you must wait til the good and great chocobo can bread again.Do so (save before!),give them a carob nut again, and hope for a chocobo from the different colour and different sex.Feed it,race it til class S.Now mate the green and blue chocobo when you can,a carob nut again, and hope for a black chocobo. After that catch a chocobo near Icicle inn,one that's accompanied by 1 or 2 jumpings. This is a wonderful chocobo.Feed it,race it til class S,and mate the black and wonderful chocobo.Give them a Zeio nut this time (steal from goblins on goblin island, north of the chocobo ranch,a small island with a forest). If you're lucky, you'll get the golden chocobo.
Just remember to save every time before breeding,if you don't like the outcome, soft reset Good luck!

Edit:Hey Beau, why didn't you mention the breeding guide i posted there?

Well,why?????
Chocobos are large birds in the Final fantasy world that can be used to transport you to differant areas or to be raced against each other. You got the wrong Choc there Ziroc but can I have one of the clones though please?
