Erm last year was....

Child Language Acquisition (how kids learn language) and Language and Gender (differences in male/female talking)
Then Language and Representation (Disability, race, class, age).
Then analyse a text, comment on it and write a text. Got to learn word classes and grammar.

This year it's language investigation coursework, language and variety+change and a synoptic paper. It's crap, but I know loads of people who do Lit and did really crap in the exam. We read Lord of the Flies in English in Year 11 and I can't count the number of times I nearly dozed off it was so boring, pretty much decided which English for me!

Hah, Lord of the Flies isn't a great book. I red it by choice and ended up skimming it. No idea what happened any more.

It's ten to seven in the morning and I'm awake. What's up with that?

Not yet! That's this Friday. We're having a party, complete with special cakes. My roommate's in charge of making those; I've been entrusted with cupcakes containing chocolate and nothing else.

Honestly, set one kitchen on fire....
