Warning! Warning! This is a public service announcement!

News Bulletin:

Two days ago the woman sometimes known as Cloudy was spotted in a plant nursery in Northern New York! Eye witness accounts say she was feverish and glassy eyed as she ran from shrub to tree to perennial, reading tags, sniffing flowers, and touching leaves. One witness says the deranged garden-crazed CloudMinder towed a 3foot x 5 foot wagon behind her and tossed plants and flowers in with total abandon! If you live in the area, plan a trip to the area or have any connection whatsoever to this madwoman, be warned, she's now armed with annuals and considered dangerous!

This has been a service of the public emergency broadcast system!

Teehee..I have snapdragons! Sweet and pretty and even PURPLE ones....and begonias and dianthus (pinks) and salvia of a red/white striped variety and geraniums, lots of geraniums! I have impatiens, LAVENDER ones...never seen them before, but I got my old standby pink and white ones too. Coleus! Never had it, but my other leafy choices weren't available....OH OH OH.. I have FLOWERS! *eyes start to glaze over*

Warning, warning! You are in close proximity to a Garden Fever case! Be prepared to nod frequently as she recites plant names and colors and to smile politely as she regales you with the care, sun and feeding requirements of each plant. Do not show boredom, hide your yawns! She will quizz you on those requirements! If you hold out long enough Cloudy will wander off into her yard, plant books in hand and sit, planning what would look good where, in what height and color and which will take sun and which need shade....etc.... and you can escape!

HAHAHHAHAHAHA...er it's late and er, I DID get flowers! TEEHEE

TEEHEE! Got me the American Horticultural Society's Encyclopedia! And all the Michael Dirr books I could get my hands on two yrs ago. Btw, Armitage's Garden Perennials is a good book!

Herb garden! Wow, that's great RD! I plan to have one someday. Still working the landscape. Went from bare clay to not bad in 4yrs but needs much more work!
What are you growing? Fresh thyme, oregano and chives are divine!

Oh and watch the chives, they seed EVERYHWERE! A friend of mine had a lawn full of chives! Smelled great when they mowed!

Hey roberthebard! Long time no see! Hope all is well in KS! Uh sure....I may have a ton of 'volunteer' snapdragons from last year! Happy to share! The darned things go to seed all over the place! Anyone know how to tell when they are ready to do it and harvest the seeds manually? I LOVE SNAPDRAGONS!

OK, remember that I live in an apartment, and only have a small balcony patio..

For salads and cooking, I've got sage, thyme, oregano, chives, cilantro, and dill.
For teas, I've got mint, chamomile, lemon grass, and something else... LOL I forgot what the fourth tea is ?!?!
oh well...
It's just a small container garden...

Hi Cloudysniffler,

Do you do weeding - I could use a hand, the "jungle" has gotten a bit out of control in the past month. I'm supposed to be out there now, but I am using the excuse that it is raining .
