Ok
So...i was exploring a lot of dungeans and towns I came across a redorin cook book; i carryed it around with me for a long time but eventually i needed room for other things and got rid of it somehow (i dont recall if i sold it or dropped it) So anyhow, turns out this book is for a quest...anyone know where i might get myself a new copy or happen to know a way to locate lost goods such as this? |

aww gee. i wish i had some words of encouragement for you.
i have heard others mention the same type of thing. they lost it, or sold it, or even had it disappear cuz it was stored somewhere that respawned. but so far, the only way i have heard to get it back is by using the Editor. seems like once it's gone ingame, it's gone. unless you know exactly where you dropped it or whom you sold it to. Morrowind 'must' have a flag on specific items required once they are found, so that it would be impossible to "lose" them.
Your thoughts Vesselle?

I don't know, but there's a lot of book sellers in the game, maybe you can get another one. The Joshaba book store in vivec has almost any rare books you can find. Anyways good luck.

. . (MAJOR Spoiler) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . but if you get stuck the way this player did, there is the potential to determine what code describes that artifact, then place a copy of it in/on a particular place in a particular game location. After that, add the newly created plug-in to the list, restart, and go get the item. Of course, that also means a great deal more is possible, turning it into Munchkin City or Monte Haul, whatever term is appropriate. - - Kiwi * [ 05-08-2002, 03:13 PM: Message edited by: The Kiwi ]
