Experience Cap Remover
I read the sticky post about all the Mods, But I couldn't find what I was looking for.
I don't want a way to get more experince, just a way to lift the level 30 Cap because I am soloing. Once that is lifted I'll add some experince modifiers. Any links? Thanks |

Is it IWD 1 or 2? If it is IWD1, download the one for BG2. It works for IWD as well.

There's a level 40 xp patcher on this website. It allows your characters to reach level 40.

ALright, well I have Windows XP. I extracted the file and clicked run and it isn't working I don't think.
Am I doing this wrong? Can you just walk me through what I'm supposed to do? |

Which one? The game or the patch?
The game works perfectly in winXP. For the level 40 xp patcher. Make sure back up your IWD2.exe first. Also make sure you patched your game first. Unzipped the lv40 xp patcher and then copy and paste the source folder and xpcapper into your IWD2 folder. Double click the xpcapper. It should patched your IWD2 plus create a IWD2.old file for you. For the level 40 extended table. unzipped it and then copy and paste every xxxx.2DA files into your IWD2's Override folder. |

I couldn't install this patch. It tells me simply, "cannot patch iwd2.exe", and as far as I've gathered this should be an error message received when iwd2.exe is the wrong version. But I do have the officially patched game (and the file size is exactly that as required by the readme), so there should be no problems. Has anyone else experienced problems installing it? Is there, perhaps, a difference between US/UK versions?

That is strange. Make sure iwd2.exe isn't set to read only.

It is not write protected, either. Is there a way to make the program ignore the requirements and force the install? Sure wish the patcher could be a bit more specific as to why it couldn't patch the exe.

Maybe there is a difference between the US and UK version. You could always try applying to a no-cd version of the exe if you can find one.
