I'm thinking of the (as far as I know) unique all-paladin all-but-two-aasimir party:
Fighter4/Paladinx (longswords) Fighter4/Paladinx (hammers Paladin2/Clericx (axes) Paladin8/Clericx (greatswords) Paladin2/Sorcerorx (staves) Rogue1/Paladin2/Magex (Drow) (Daggers) All paladins of the appropriate type, obviously. The Drow will only take the Pally levels before he needs them (CS quest) so that he can pick up the rewards that I am sure I'll be reaping. I'm shuddering as I think about that. So much holy pwnage! They gots: Immunity to fear 6 tanks 6 healers 6 diplomats 1 rogue 4 bombadiers 2 resurecters About 8 billion ways of killing anything, anywhere, with ridiculous ease. In fact, I've more or less convinced myself to try it out. Thoughts? EDIT: Changed levels EDIT: changed levels again for references. [ 11-14-2005, 05:44 PM: Message edited by: Marty4 ] |

Cool idea. Definitely try it. I'm certainly tempted.
And yeah, if you put a bard in anywhere, it should be replacing the sorc. Is it going to be a pally/bard? Just out of curiosity, is their a reason why waiting to paladin[13] before multiclassing that one to cleric? For the BAB?

Personally, I'd keep the sorcerer and switch one of the cleric types for a bard, if you really want one.
Also, remember that Paladins do quests "for free" and don't accept rewards. |

Heh, yeah... considering many of your party members rely on good armor and weapons, you'll have to choose a bit more carefully at the beginning. Later it get's easier with ačč the loot you'll be hauling around. And yes, I'd rather keep the sorcerer and loose a cleric for a bard. And replace the races of the first fighter with the last mage... just for a cool MR later on

Can someone give me a link to a mod to change stats in the game? I modeled my pally/sorceror after a solo idea, but when I decided that in a 6 person party paladin2/sorceror would be better, I realised that my stats were all wrong. I'm not cheating, just fixing.
I decided to not do a bard, since it can't MC with a paladin (can't be lawful). The paladin13/cleric was because Clerics have lvl9 spells by lvl17. This guy is more of a tank who will also be a backkup healer. I realised a tad late that paladins don't accept rewards, so I'm not going to give the drow pally levels until he needs them (CS quest). Can someone tell me how to make a screenshot of the game? I wish you could have seen the wererat brawl It took about 15 seconds to kill them all. Side note: Drow ranger/rogues dual wielding daggers with no helmet and leather armor are about as cool as it gets. [ 12-11-2004, 07:49 PM: Message edited by: Marty4 ] |

There's a program around called Dalekeeper that can do what you want about fixing the stats. Unfortunately, I don't know the link for it, but someone else here should be able to provide it.
Something to keep in mind is that under 3rd ed rules, your character's total level is the sum of all class levels. A Pal13/Cleric 17 is a 30th level character, which isn't possible in a 6 party going once through the game. |

I'm currently in the gobby warrens, and my party is owning holy a$$. Here's how it has turned out:
Alex fighter4/paladin1 STR 18 DEX 13 CON 18 INT 3 WIS 10 CHA 18 Marty paladin2/fighter3 STR 19 DEX 10 CON 18 INT 3 WIS 11 CHA 20 Jared paladin2/cleric3 STR 18 DEX 10 CON 18 INT 4 WIS 19 CHA 12 Xavier paladin5 STR 19 DEX 10 WIS 18 INT 4 WIS 18 CHA 12 Gwennia (need to change stats!) paladin2/sorceress3 STR 18 DEX 14 CON 16 INT 4 WIS 8 CHA 21 Rixnor ranger1/rogue1/wizard2 STR 12 DEX 20 CON 16 INT 20 WIS 7 CHA 5 I know that the stats for the sorceress are abysmal, but what about the others? Gwennia looks fine except for the low wisdom.
In the meantime, I looked up a link for Dalekeeper: http://www.mud-master.com/dalekeeper/ That should help you tighten up a couple of stats. Overall, your party looks good (use DK to give a little extra strength to the rogue). |

Thanks! For the record, its actually Dalekeeper 2.
Update: I took the Horde HQ with one fight due to a fluke. I was able to beat the left room with low damage, so I decided to also take the orog room without resting. I wasn't able to cut through them fast enough, so shamans got off web and horror. My Drow somehow was paniced, and decided to run into Guthma's room. I took all of my non-webbed guys in a desperate sword rush to save the mage... and won! I'd also like to say that this party is a lot of fun, and doesn't need much micromanaging. Anyone who is looking for a new idea should try it! [ 12-11-2004, 08:39 PM: Message edited by: Marty4 ] |

I'm actually doing that already!
My team, although somewhat flawed is doing extrememly well! Xan Fighter4/Monk10/Paladin1 Laria Paladin8/Monk7 Yana Rogue11/Fighter4 Solufien Wizard12/Rogue2 Lasin'velra Cleric5/Monk10 Shura Fighter4/Druid12 Xan, Yana, Solufien and Lasin'velra all dual wield a mix of blugdening and slashing weapons whilst Laria and Shura have great swords and polearms. I decided to give myself a challenge without using greataxes! this team has reached the Severed Hand and is doing very well in melee, although a little susceptible to magic still. Once my monks get even better i shall be unstoppable! Bwahahahahahha.... Next game will be an all archer game...oh yes can't wait. [ 12-12-2004, 07:15 PM: Message edited by: shadowolf03 ]
