I was wondering if anyone could clear up a concealment question I have.

I know that concealment does not stack (so casting displacement and improved invisibility on a character does not provide 100% concealment), but I would like to know how casting 2 different spells with different concealment percentages on a character works.

Basically, if I cast Ghostly Visage, which has 10% concealment, and then cast Improved Invisibility which provides 50% concealment, is my characters concealment actually SET to 50%, and the 10% from GV ignored, or, does an attacker have to roll against 2 different miss percentiles, for example, he swings, and that swing must firstly get past the 10% concealment from GV, and if successful must then get past the 50% concealment for Improved Invisibility.

I hope my ranting has at least made some sense! Basically what I'm asking is if there is a benefit in casting multiple spells that provide different concealment values!

Thanks.

The higher one counts. If you have both displacement (50%) and Ghostly Visage (10%) active, you'll have 50% concealment. If the Displacement is dispelled or runs out before Ghostly Visage does, you'll drop back to 10% concealment.

Also, 100% concealment means that you can't be seen or hit in any way.

Like being behind a thick slab of stone or invisible.

Yeah which makes the lack of stacking a good thing, otherwise one could become invincible with a casting of a level 3 and 4 spell. 50% concealment seems to be the absolute maximum that a character can have (which gives them an effective 25% concealment against an opponent with blind fight).
