This is the first time I've played Jahieras romance right through and while I like it as It's the most detailed and fascinating of the three I think It's a tad long. I'm up to ninety odd days of in game time and the romance is still going. I've done everything I can possibly do and am now literally standing around waiting for Jahiera. The thing with the harpers hasn't even been resolved yet.

I had yet only a romance with Aerie, which i think it was allready over in chapter 3. I think not more than 25 days. I wanted to make one with Jaheira in my new game ill start, but if it takes so long, i think ill take Viconia instead...

Jaheira's romance is the longest in the game, but Viconia's is only a couple of dialogues shorter. It's a good incentive not to rush through the game and explore things more thoroughly. I've found more than a few secrets that way. Spending those few moments taking Minsc to a temple to get ressurected instead of just reloading and playing the battle until you get through it with no casualties counts as time toward NPC interaction. And Jan should write a book.

I think it just took Jahiera longer to get started. Viconia and Aerie were saying things a lot more regularly. As I said I have been thorough. I've done every single possible thing that can be done in the one game. Every single dungeon, map etc. My fighter stronghold only recently finished up too. Jahiera had very long breaks between dialogue. It's giving me a chance too read a book while I leave the game running and wait.

I had that prob with Jahiera too. Whenever I'd pick up Viconia or Aerie, even though Jahiera and I were already having heart to hearts, the newer romance would progress quicker.

Mandrake.. your answer was inspired... this might explain why I soloed BG and BG II instead of getting involved in the whole romance and group dynamics thing.. I get enough of that in RL...

But I just might build a new character, call him casanova or some such and install the patch that allows all three romances...

Hmmmmm, on second thoughts, I might try installing this patch on my girlfriend, but I have my doubts that the OSs are compatible. hehe...

I don't care so much for the romance dialogues in particular; I just find all the NPC interactions entertaining. Especially Jan's and Korgan's.
