This is completely off topic but I have wondered about this for a long time. Can anyone explain why Americans use the phrase 'I could care less' but in England we say 'I could NOT care less'? How can the two phrases mean the same thing? Surely by saying you could care less means that you do care a bit.

BTW, please don't reply by saying 'I could care less' or 'I couldn't care less'

It was pretty funny watching the sucky xfl players fumble and slip every 5 seconds. There is a good reason those guys didnt make it to the nfl. I hate baseball it goes to slow. I used to watch the local rugby league matches in hawaii and on tv but there is no such thing as rugby in freezeyoassoff, washington.

I believe it is the Yankee SARCASM you are missing with the saying. There needs to be proper gesticulations and

accompaning this phrase.
