hey... i was wondering if anyone has tried using 2 belm swords (that add an additional attack per round) on a grand mastered fighter? using boots of speed that would give the fighter 10 attacks per round.... right? just wondering if this is true so i can throw out my old game and start a new one....

Boots of speed do not work like the potion. They double your rate of motion only, not attacks. As for the other stuff I don't know.

ok well so what's the number of attacks on a grand master? 3 every 2 rounds?... well that would still be (if equiped with 2) 5 attacks per round.. then if you cast haste on them it would be 10, right?

My character is a pure fighter ...... After all magic is impressive but now that i lead swords for everyone..... He is +++++ in long sword and +++ in double weapon style. He uses the equiliser in one hand and the sword of roses in the other.. He attackes 4 times a round with a haste spell it would go up to 8. I don't know about the swords you speak of?

Hack and slash.....

The max will be 10 with improved haste I think. Also i think it's only the speed of the main hand that is displayed. ie if you had 2 Belm swords giving 5 attacks per round and improved haste you would still only see 10 (as opposed to 20) per round. my guy with +++++ in 2H swords using the +4 Harbringer sword used to get 9 attacks with improved haste.

Number of Attacks is number of attacks you're going to make in 6 seconds. End of story. Using an off hand adds to that number. I haven't found a way to get over 10.

If you really want to try, use shadowkeeper, set base attacks = 5, then give your guy 2 belms, then improve haste him. 10 may or may not be the cap.

My Kensai/Mage (13/14) does have 9 attacks with improved haste/tensers/and all of that.

Therefore if we have one Belm equipped with improved haste and it shows 10 attacks we can fully expect to see that number increased when the offhand weapon is added. No one doubts that using the offhand adds to the number of attacks but as I clearly stated, I think it's only the main hand weapon speed displayed.
