I was thinking of trying Twisted Rune today (no, never done it before).
I went down through that door, met the Lich and after MANY reloads, I killed them all without having all of my own party-members slayned...
well... was that all? Not that I think the battle should have been harder (hehe) but the story was a bit thin. A bit dissapointing when thinking of that you get the Staff of Magi and 50k exp only for the Lich. Not even a note in my journal.
Was that really the only thing that should happen?

"Only" got the staff of the magi"????
Only the best quarterstaff in the game - no less!

But no, no additonal storyline - just a bonus area...

Yeah... you get a great staff, but there's no other sutff attached to the Twisted RUne. *sigh* Oh, well... at least you have the game's best staff...

Heh the games best staff is an understatement. Staff of magi is the most versatile weapon in the game in my opinion.

there is a new patch on baldurdash that supposedly 'unlocks' the storyline surrounding the twisted rune so that it makes more sense. I haven't got that far in my current game, so I haven't tested it. But a hint in the readme.txt says that nalia somehow starts the quest. Anyone else do this?
