Raising One's Attributes

Hail, fellow travelers--your elder Stormhammer here. I am just
embarking on to Lonelywood, having waged havoc upon Amn and Icewind
Dale, and I wonder if any of you more experienced adventurers could
tell this old dwarf if there are any tomes in Heart of Winter to
raise one's attributes a bit? I'm moving a little slower than I used
to, and some more dexterity would be of immense service to these old
bones. I did not encounter such tomes in Icewind Dale, though a
magician friend of mine did locate an item to increase his faculties
a touch. Anyway, your help would be appreciated, young ones.

I don't think there are any books to raise your stats. The developers admitted that those books kind of screwed with the balance of the game.

My personal opinion is that I think they should have been left in.

No problem. I think, since the game is an Infinity game, they are actualy in the code...but I'm not sure about that. You might try and find TeamBG's HoW editor and see what you can come up with.

Of course you could very easily just user the editor to raise your stats...but if you have to have the books that would be the best way to try and get them I think...

You can get potions that boost your stats but they normally subtract from another. Cheers

you would do well to locate an Infinity Explorer so you can browse the items in HoW. IWD and HOW do not have any tomes in them, but i did find a few stat changing potions in IWD (in the guarded tomb in vale of shadows, liche's chambers, malavon's room...) though, it seems there ARE tomes in this game, they exist in the coce and may be created thru magical cheats; but otherwise they do not exist in the Spine of the World.

Yup they are in the cheat console of the game. If you want them just go to the cheats section for IWD/HoW and download the PDF file. Then enable the console following the instructions contained in the PDF.

Of course you could just download Dale Editor from the same page listed above.
