Do the Pile of Bones and charred corpse, etc actually do anything? Do you need something to dig through them to find items? Tried the Pick axe on one but nothing (was hoping I might find gems like the ore piles in mines.)

Yawn, rubs sleep from eyes, grabs coffee - haven't found anything myself, but wth the corpses being selectable, has anyone tried casting resurrect or rebirth on them?

Think I tried this but it fizzles. But cant hurt to try again, rebirth havent got yet so that may be a possibility
