Scott, I am glad you aren't angry about it, but it isn't unfair of you to wish it was on topic, as you are the one who started the thread. And it's not out of line to ask for it to go back to your topic if you feel there is more to discuss. So you are right to make note that it went off base if you like!

Moni, i speak from experience: a determined person wont let you take a break. ever.

i once tried to take a 2 week break from my gaming guild so i could relieve some stress, drop some of my bad habits, and let a big problem i had with them blow over. it started out well, but they kept pestering me through my instant message services. i got off of those, but they started hitting me through email. what started out as a two week vacation from myself turned into about a 3 day coffee break from monotonous daily life. if theyre determined, they wont let you rest until youve gone completely insane.
oh, and as a side note, ill support you if you need some help here, kay?

Moni, I understand much of what you are saying. I put a post up not too long ago, trying to avoid what you are talking about. I asked if there was anyone on the board involved in relationships so that I wouldn't talk with them and upset anyone if a line was crossed. The thread was called 'I'm going to delete this quickly' OH BOY!!!!!! One person in particular said that I needed to delete this IMMEDIATELY. Saying that depended on WHAT I MEANT by 'talking'. Let me say this person wasn't happy at all. Another person accused me of being a gossip, or starting a gossip thread, something like that. Needless to say, I did what I said I was going to and deleted the post, but not before being disheartened.

I guess what I am trying to say is, that I"m NOT going to be driven off this board, and I wish you would stay too. Besides, who am I going to fight with if you leave?

Moni, I am not out to get you or anything.

The language you used against Cloudy's vision of Christianity was quite harsh. You basically called her a fake hypocrite who only went to church as a public pretense.

I don't think that was an accurate version of what Cloudy really believes, as I understand it from what she has posted.

I do not think I flamed anyone but please, if I did, don't hesitate to drop me a note and I'll gladly apologize to the other party. I try really hard to respect the views of others... even if I think that they are wrong and I realize that sometimes my views can be hard to some people.

and Moni, we know you didn't go directly after Cloudy, but it's not worth continuing. We've exchanged a few posts, I consider you a great friend but I think that you can let it go. Remember, you'll always get people that will not believe in what you say. Don't take it personnal even if they do. Hell, I've been call a "terrorist" and "crazy" by someone that I respect (250). I didn't take it personnaly and I certainly didn't go to flame him. He didn't, at the time, agree with my take on things and I didn't agree with his. That's all there's to it. Remember, it takes 2 to flame: You and the Other guy. Who's right and who's wrong? Who cares, you are BOTH fighting!!! Just a small observation from a friend (at least, I'd like to think that I'm).

ok folks while we are on the subject of deletion of threads
I have been asked this by email - the explaination of the deletion of the piccy threads at the other forum. the threads with humorous pics in them
I thought it's time to delete them to make room on Ziroc's server and I did promise that I'll delete them within a week ... and move the pics to my homepage that's all.

all right let's all of us take one day off... because we are still recovering from the high emotions we have experienced since Tuesday...

O.K., I haven't gotten along all the time on this board with everyone! (Big surprise, eh ) But I don't want to see anyone leave (except Jake)... I have read over and over that our differences are what makes this a great board. After all, if we were all the same, wouldn't it get pretty boring around here?

I'm just interested to see, how everyone reacts to a member like moni, who has been here for quite awhile, leaving.
