Just wondering if anyone has tried out dualing from a swashbuckler (thief kit) at level 10 to a mage. Seems like it might be nice; they can specialize in thief weapons, put 3 into 2-weapon fighting, get +1 AC (additional +1 AC every 5 levels), and +1 to hit and to damage (extra +1/+1 per 5 levels.) Only bad part is they can't backstab and they don't get as many thief skill points to distribute (I think they get 25.. maybe that's what you normally get on a base thief, I don't remember.)

Not to mention that you can also still reach the max mage level at level 10 (at level 11 even, but that's a long time to go without your fighting powerz); it would be like a kensai/mage. Tell me what you think...

Hi Zerthimon! Welcome to IW

Yeah I did, except I dualled him as soon as I started, level 8 (I think). Worked well

I dualed one at level 11. That way I got the extra AC, to-hit and trap. It took a looooong time to get my mage to level 12, but it was worth it.

Thanks Aelia Jusa . It's good to be here.

I thought you got the extras every 5 levels, not every 5 levels past level 1. Er, I hope I didn't do something stupid.

(Yeah Tenser's Transformation was nice on ye olde kensai/mage)
