I hate to say this but your descriptions are not terribly helpful. Are you inside Cet’s pyramid? If so check out Xignal’s map of the pyramid. Are you in the desert around the pyramid and cannot enter? Or are you in Anephas’s Shrine (which looks a bit like a pyramid and has a mystical sphynx guarding the entrance)? It is this shrine that is mostly associated with scorpions. Especially because of the square scorpion pit there.

Please, give us some more information on your whereabouts.

Those scorpions could also be those big critters around the pyramid... scorpions on steroids, they is, and with all the bad attitude stuff that goes with it.

Do give us a better idea of where you are in the game, and we can point you in the right direction. From the title, I first thought you were stuck in the Serpent Temple

No worries... our goal is to help everyone complete the game

I'm not sure which door you're referring to, but there is one (on the other side of the collapsed room) that won't open until you revive Anephas. And that one leads to the exit, of course...

For the rest, I can't recall any doors that are blocked. Some you have to move things around for, but that's about it.

No problem. We are only here to help. Glad you found out where you are. As to the locked door I am with Bungleau. It is probably the exit you have stumbled upon (the door in room R on Xignal's map).

These three (1, 2, 3) are the chapters in which Stackman’s party makes their way through the shrine, if you think it can be of any assistance.
