Default What my coworkers have taught me...

And other humorous anecdotes you might stumble across at work.

I work with an older guy, in his sixties and he's got a pretty solid view on things, work or not. Came up to me not too long ago and said this.

"Let me ask you something, now I want you to think about this before you answer."

"Alright."

"Hypothetically speaking, if you were buried up to your neck in s#$t, and if somebody threw a bucket of snot at you, would you duck?"

Well, you're already neck deep in it, why not go all the way?

If you are already up to your neck in...whatever...ducking is not a good idea.

I am assuming the bucket in question is not actually being thrown, only its contents.

At least snot's mostly clean. I think that instead of ducking I would commit all available resources to digging myself out of the shit. And then shower for a week.

I'd catch the bucket, dump it out and start working mt may of the stuff.

Now, is this some sort of new therapy or holistic thing, or something?

What would you catch the bucket with, your teeth? You're a veritable one-man circus act

I would probably duck. For some weird reason, I find the notion of getting snot all over your entire head more disgusting than ducking in crap.
