I know it's a huge cliché, but still, I always think this is a great way of getting to know people better, and of finding people with similar tastes to your own.
So please list the - last ten books you read (and finished!). - last ten movies you saw, whether at home or at a cinema. - last ten CDs (or MP3s) you listened to. Note: it's NOT about your top ten lists of all time favourites, just the last ones you read/saw/listened to, whether you enjoyed them or not. Cool, thanks guys! I love reading about other people's reading/listening tastes. Will list my own as soon as I can remember them exactly. Maybe top fives would have been better for most people's memory spans.

Not in my case, i just went through my bookcase, and could easily find the most recently read books, same thing with movies, i have canal +, and i always mark the "must see movies" in the programguide, so i picked them from there. I could have provided you with a top 25 just as easy.

Johnny, fair enough, but if you could see the combined bookcases of my boyfriend and I that I choose my books from, you'd understand my problem. And as for movies, most of them are rented and when I return them, I sort of forget.
Anyway, I'll take a stab at it. Books 1. (now reading) E.D. Eddison - The Worm Ouroboros 2. (also still reading) Roddy Doyle - A Star Called Henry 3. Gabriel García Márquez - Chronicle Of A Death Foretold 4. Sebastian Faulks - Birdsong 5. Italo Calvino - The Castle Of Crossed Destinies 6. Ian McEwan - Black Dogs 7. Ian McEwan - The Innocent 8. Umberto Eco - The Island Of The Day Before 9. C.S. Lewis - The Chronicles Of Narnia 10. Zadie Smith - The Autograph Man Music 1. Rossini - Petite Messe Solennelle -with Lucia Popp (soprano), Brigitte Fassbaender (contralto), Nicolai Gedda (tenor), Dmitri Kavrakos (bass), Marielle & Katia Labèque (piano), Choir Of King's College, cond. Stephen Cleobury 2. Vivaldi - Stabat Mater, Salve Regina and others -with Jochen Kowalski (alto), Nico van der Meel (tenor), John Constable, Raphael Alpermann (organ), Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra, cond. Vittorio Negri 3. Natalie Dessay - Mozart Heroines -with Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, cond. Louis Langrée 4. Mozart - Die Entführung Aus Dem Serail (highlights) - with Fritz Wunderlich (tenor), Erika Köth (soprano), Lotte Schädle (soprano), Friedrich Lenz (tenor), Kurt Böhme (bass), Chor und Orchester der Bayerischen Staatsoper, cond. Eugen Jochum 5. Ralph Vaughan Williams - Dona Nobis Pacem and other works -with Sheila Armstrong (soprano), John Carol Case (bass), London Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra, cond. Sir Adrian Boult 6. Several songs from different artists on tape, for my mother to play in the car. Songs listened to were: Hugh Wilson - Here We Go, Pouration; Pavement - Carrot Rope; Portishead - Glorybox; Michel Camilo/Anthony Jackson/ Dave Weckl - From Within; Garbage - Cherry Lips. 7. The Cult - Beyond Good And Evil 8. Orgy - Vapor Transmission 9. Guns N' Roses - Appetite For Destruction 10. Nevermore - Enemies Of Reality Movies 1. A Life Less Ordinary 2. Uh... I should have remembered about this one before I started up my topic... One of Blake's movies.. sadly that's not William Blake. 3. VHS of Blackadder episodes 4. Nine Queens 5. Austin Powers - Goldmember 6. Insomnia 7. In The Name Of The Father 8. Minority Report 9. Spider 10. A Beautiful Mind I had a lot of trouble remembering all movies I saw on the telly, so I just ignored those. I think I got the books and CDs right though, give or take one forgotten title. [ 08-10-2003, 11:15 AM: Message edited by: Melusine ]

Oh, and regarding the non-CD-music I listen to from my PC, I mostly listen to a sample compilation I've made (though not yet burned) for a friend of mine, some mp3s of music I'm curious about (at this point some yet-to-be-released music by Beulah and Enon) and some classical music (Rachmaninov at this moment, thanks to Melusine ). Whoops, I forgot Southpark and Battle Royale in my list of movies! Knew it was inaccurate...
Oh, and I watched Event Horizon yesterday and have The Virgin Suicides and The Usual Suspects still sitting on the shelf, since the video rental shop had an offer of three for the price of two.
