Well, my Dad just retired in January. He worked for a company that makes the fastest (and best) tunneling machines in the world. I found out about a month ago, he's back doing a job for them in the US; I forget where. I think they're totolly screwed without him. I used to visit him at work a lot and there wasn't 5 minutes where someone would come to him and ask a question.
I think he's also trying to get away from step-monster as well though!

If he didnt get elected and we got Mark Latham who knows what hours we would have to work to pay for things.

Atleast Latham wouldn't allow the free trade agreement without modification, which will render our working hours almost useless in terms of saving our economy...

* The only reason Australians are so stressed is because they have to cope with Howards decisions

Well, MY dad... is old. Actually, he's self-employed, and doesn't have to work long hours, but is on call 24/7. Oh well, he's awesome, and has to work at home b/c of mom anyways, lol!
Just because Latham ran the most niave campaign in political history (worse than Kerry by a long way) does not mean that he would have failed as a leader, he has always been right wing of the labour party except on the bedrock of socialism that of health and education. Many of his (Lathams) policy's are way too right wing for me and many traditional socialists.

Though I do tip my hat to Howards economic management, I do wonder how much of that has been fuelled by the fallacy of borrowings against unsustainable house price rises.

But any government that gives that idiot Abott the time of day deserves contempt
