for resources in schools. Children are the biggest, most rewarding, of all the worlds resources...and for that resource to pay off education is the prime factor, at every level, from grade school to university. And imo education should be free all the way through university...(but hard, virtually impossible, i know).

LOL, and I totally disagree that you oldies have 'messed up big time'. All part of the process imo...and if mess up would be correct, it would probably be something that stretches back quite a few thousand years...
Yes, it does go back a long time. The diffuculty now, of course, is that the environment doesn't have time to recover any more. We have got awy with neglect and misuse of earth's provisions up to now - but time is rapidly running out. If we don't change the way we do things pretty soon, we will be FORCED by the environment itself to to take drastic action to save ourselves from real disaster, imo.
We HAVE to lay it on the line to our governments, and our young people are the best weapons because THEY are inheriting the earth, and will either benefit or suffer for what we do now.

Uh, hello Fljotsdale. I have to copy and paste your name because I don't know how to spell it. I also don't know how to pronounce it and I confess that your posts sometimes confuse me. This thread definitely made my eyes glaze over and my sloping forehead did furrow.

I have a question for you. Do you know anyone with the last name of "Daglish"? My grandmother was from Birmingham, England.

Er....
You do realise that Birmingham is a HUGE city, right? People don't just run into each other at the village church fete....

Thank you for that dose of reality. I don't have a clue what a fete is. Is that plural for foot? I was just curious though. I'll go away properly chastised now.
