Everyone (New users and old) Please read -- About 'Spam'

Many people have been getting really sick of the growing numbers of 'spam' type posts, some of you need to know what a 'spam' post consists of:

1. A post made that asks you to create a 1 sentence continuing story
2. A "Me too" post

3. Posting to say something like "Hi, I'm bored" lol..
4. Posting a BLANK message (250 grrrr!!!!

)
5. Posts that are pretty much just simple chit-chat (one liner stuff)

I don't mind the Cafe's, Bar's, those are fine.

But posts I see that complain about 'I hate my rank' or people using HUGE ass sig's (smiles at a certain member) will be deleted. (I'll edit out the huge sigs and email the user though).

Also, I have turned back ON the 'delete your own message' option, when the virus hit my friends server, I re-uploaded an 'old' config, and it was turned off for some odd reason. Whoops!

Anyway, just wanting to let you know, and all Moderators please enforce this, I trust your decisions.

BTW, When you see a closed thread, look to see if it's over 150 posts large, I will sometimes close those, some I don't because of special reasons.

I was kind of wondering myself just what the exact criteria of 'spam' was for this forum. I will do my utmost best not to do that. I'm sure I've done it, so - sorry, Ziroc.

Are threads like the ORT Building and HADB recruiting considered the kind of spam that people are complaining about? Or is it more the posts that are posted in peoples threads that have no relation to the thread (eg clanwars)

This thread may need to be bumped up often, just because of the amount of newcomers always arriving, and always wanting to know what the rules are. It is not like they read them in the register page...

I agree this should be bumped often to clarify for newcomers. And I read the rules on the register page. I don't remember any specific definitions for spam there, maybe I missed it. I just remember it saying something along the lines of keeping it to a minimum.

As long as you keep the Clan discussions in 1 thread, I don't mind.. (1 thread per Clan, then when it hits 150+ msgs, create a 'part 2 thread').
