My cavelier was always a one-man army, capable of taking out almost every creature or enemy by himself(Except Dragons). Then it turned out a certain NPC in Tob was a better tank then me, what a shock

We have two paladins (one cavalier and one vanilla )in my Multiplayer party. We kick butt and take names.

All hail Paladins! Tancred the Cavalier is the only pc I've ever had who made his way all the way from Candlekeep to the Abyss.

I've played several Paladins. Never an Inquisiter however. Clerical spells are one of the biggest perks, IMHO theres not enough benifits to outweigh giving them up.
Cavaliers are nicer from a general rpg pov, however I think the Undead Hunter is more useful within the plot. |
