Soloing in IWD - Potential spoilers...

I'm, soloing as an F/M/T and am just about to face Ms. Y at the end of DE. The last time I played thru, the fight was espcially memorable since it was phenomenally close. I used to reload this fight repeatedly just because it was so awesome!!

Anyways, somehow IIRC, I seem to have been better prepared that time. Now all my 5th level mage spell slots empty. Have I missed any 5th level spells somewhere along the game so far?

Also please remind me where the boots of speed are. Its been a couple of years and I can't even remember if there are a pair of them in IWD.

You don't get 5th level spells until Severed Hand and can also buy from Orrick, in Kuldahar, when his inventory changes again at the start of Dorn's Deep. Boots of speed are one of the random drops in Severed Hand. Unfortunately soloing means your mage outpaces the scrolls availabilty.
