Gotta bring this back again, my "sweep" prediction is no longer possible. After a real thriller the Nets took game 2 of the finals. Jason Kidd made some pretty important plays, unlike in game 1. They almost managed to blow a 15 point lead in the final minutes though, some players choke under pressure.
Nonetheless this series is wide open, much to my own surprise. Btw... anyone else think Mutombo sounds an awful lot like Fozzy Bear ?

Spurs over Nets in 6 (maybe even in 5). The Spurs won't turn over the ball 22 times too often, neither will Kidd score 30 too often, he is too erratic a shooter for that. For the Nets to really have a chance in this series, someone other than Kidd has to step up and score 20ppg on a consistent basis. Martin was able to do just that for them in the previous rounds of the playoffs. But against Duncan and the Spurs' defense, I have a hard time imagining him doing that.

Don't forget Richard Jefferson. If anyone could step up and deliver for the nets, it's him. Although he's still a rookie, he's a wildcard that can explode on any given night.
