Default Cera Sumat for HoF party? (spoilers)

Is the fight for Cera Sumat even possible with my party? They're all lvl 24-25:

half-orc fighter 12/rogue 13
drow paladin of Mystra 24
human bard 25
human ranger 25
human cleric of Lathander 26
drow wizard 24

I've tried my two tried-and-true HoF tactics: tank bait (get them all to chase/target my best tank, the drow paladin, while the other party members take potshots) and summon crazy (distract them all with summons while party members take potshots) and I still end up losing half my party, some by insta-chunk.

Any suggestions?

I haven't got the chance to try this on HoF-mode yet, but some suggestions that might help.

If your Wizard is capable of doing so, continuously cast Disintegrate on their Wizard, Summoner, and Archer in that order respectively.

Stubby will chase after his target come hail or fire, with nothing to distract him. Observe which party position will teleport to the location nearest to him, and place your least needed party member there for him to lock on as a target. The sole purpose of this party member is to run around like a mad chicken throughout the WHOLE FIGHT (make judicious use of the Pause function). A Hasted Bard with Boots of Speed may be your best bet here.

Choppy can be easily distracted with summons.

Monky is the hardest to rein in as he is willing to change targets if need be. Get your best tank to distract him, and don't hesitate to swap tanks when necessary.

Pre-cast Insect Plague/Creeping Doom at where the Wizard and the Summoner will be. If you can stop their spellcasting, they're harmless. Alternatives include multiple Webs with a Sword Spider or two.

Also... don't forget that they're Undead. If you have any Weapons of Disruption, now is the time to bring them out. Be it Arrows, Bullets, Maces, etc...

Cheers.

Ouch! Only 2 summoner/caster? How on Faerun did you get that far in HOF? Your cleric and wizard must have been working overtime.

Anyway...

Before battle, buff your party to the max. Cast stone skin on your tank. Strip your bard or your ranger naked so that they'll be the weakest party member (hopefully). Cast 4 animate dead on 6 oclock and 2 animate dead on 12 oclock. Pray to the gods and hope that lady luck is by your side.

Initiate battle,

Kill the 6 oclock summoner asap. If not he'll summon wave upon wave of undead. Next you should kill the wizard as he can unleash all the nasty spell on you. After that kill the archer.

Meanwhile, your tank should bait the meleers. Hopefully they should be chasing your tanks. If not they should be targeting your weakest party member (which is hopefully your bard or ranger). If things do go bad, cast Otiluke's resilient sphere on the character.

If your animate dead spell run out. Use Shade. If that run out use cacofiend. Or worst come to the worst. Huddle your characters on a corner of the map and repeatedly cast Gate and watch as hell minion's swarm the battlefield and make your computer slow to a crawl. Just make sure your characters have magic circle against evil spell on before you cast the gate spell.

OR

Some people mention that you don't actually have to battle them out for the sword. You don't need to anything. Just initiate the battle, grab the Cera Sumat sword and run away. They won't chase you that far.

But in doing so you won't gain the experience point from battling with them.
