the original thread used to be here

the previous thread is here:

Cloudy's Cafe

Come in, be welcome, be comfortable, be yourself

Welcome to Cloudy's Cafe, a place to have a cup of coffee or a good
darjeeling and the finest in conversation and camaraderie.

The proprietor asks that you follow a few simple guidelines:

this is a real conversation zone, not a role-play zone

* no flaming; if you disagree with a viewpoint expressed by any patron, please do so in a civil manner

* any topic is fair game, but keep posts to the standards that Ziroc has set for the entire forum, please (ie: foul language is not appropriate and things should be suitable for all audiences)
-a side note from Cloudy: I see this as a place for those short
conversations about a new baby or the latest soccer fiasco, not for things that are big enough to warrant their own threads, by all means give those things the space they need and post separately!

* Please, no one word or smiley posts (Ziroc has declared them 'real spam' and the proprietor doesn't want the reputuation of "good spam" to suffer!)

* do feel free to be serious or silly and enjoy the company of others while you are here. By all means POST if you have something to say, even to start another topic , we can handle multiple chats, we're a CAFE!!! But be courteous and don't disrupt a conversation just to disrupt it.

Come on in! The bar is stocked with coffees, teas, juices and waters from around the world. And purple napkins, of course!

The lighting is low, the golden oak counters and tables glow with inviting warmth. Near the window, the lighting is brighter, as comfy, plush leather armchairs wait for those who'd like to read a book while relaxing to music or just lazily watch the world go by.

Brought to you by Lady Blue, Offical Waitress and Entertainment provider

Bout time for a new cafe eh? Cloudy's been slacking, tsk!

Had a sort of 'blah' day today. Wonderful (said sarcastically) take home test for philosophy-answering 4 of 6 questions, the prof guesses a thorough answer to be 2 pages typed for each...*shudders* and some boring stuff in math with another test on Tuesday, the day I turn in my philosophy test *groans*

Then of course I get to my aunt's house to let her dogs out and her 7 9-week old puppies had gotten out...torn up some of her carpet not to mention gone to the bathroom everywhere...and to make matters worse I was running late and had to get home for dinner and go right back to school so I couldn't get it all cleaned up...argh >.<

And to end it my modem is interrupting randomly and the wireless loses its signal randomly...yay!

The only bright part of my day was getting an A on my 1500 word essay I slaved over

On the topic of the pit for the concert, things do get crazy over here (search for my mosh pit thread and read what happened to me at the last AFI concert. Trampling, anyone?). My friend I'm going with said it'll either be really insane in the pit or there'll be a bunch of old guys, heheh

Well, bed time for now, night everyone

Hey Wellard how you going ?

As for everyone my day went well. Its the 3rd day of the new financial quarter for me so I still havn't done any work. As usuall I will probably leave my deals to close till the end LOL.

Ahh the mosh Pit I remember that. The best one I was in was at a concert called Homebake a few years back. It rained most of the day so the mosh pit turned into a mud pit. GREAT FUN!

Eww, AvP! Hmm, well, got up late, this morning, missed my math quiz. very uncool. Got a "D" on my essay yesterday, with very little marked on the paper. Same professor that I suspect wants me to rot in hell. Ah, well, such is life. Anyways, mine's kinda sucking, how is everyone else?

You want entertainment ?

Here's a chuckle..

A guy walks into a bar with his pet monkey. He orders a
drink and while he's drinking, the monkey jumps all
around the place.
The monkey grabs some Olives off the bar and eats
them, then grabs some sliced limes and eats them,
then jumps onto the pool table, grabs one of the
billiard balls, sticks it in his mouth, and to everyone's
amazement, somehow swallows it whole.

The bartender screams at the guy, "Did you see what
your monkey just did?"

The guy says "No, what?"

The bartender screams "He just ate the cue ball off my
pool table-whole!"

"Yeah, that doesn't surprise me," replied the guy, "he
eats everything in sight, the little b*stard. Sorry. I'll pay
for the cue ball and stuff." He finishes his drink, pays
his bill, pays for the stuff the monkey ate, then leaves.

Two weeks later he's in the bar again, and has his
monkey with him. He orders a drink and the monkey
starts running around the bar again.

While the man is finishing his drink, the monkey finds a
maraschino cherry on the bar.

He grabs it, sticks it up his butt, pulls it out, and eats it.
Then the monkey finds a peanut, and again sticks it up
his butt, pulls it out, and eats it.

The bartender is disgusted. "Did you see what your
monkey did now?" he asks.

"No, what?" replies the guy. "Well, he stuck a
maraschino cherry and a peanut up his butt, pulled it
out, and ate it!" said the bartender.

Yeah, that doesn't surprise me," replied the guy. "He
still eats everything in sight, but ever since he had to
sh*t out that cue ball, he measures everything first."

One more...

A man boarded an aircraft at Heathrow and took his seat. As he settled in he noticed a very beautiful woman boarding the plane. He realised she was heading straight towards his seat and bingo! she took the seat right beside him.

Eager to strike up a conversation, he blurted out, "business trip or vacation?"

She turned, smiled enchantingly and said "Business. I'm going to the annual nymphomaniac convention in the United States".

He swallowed hard. Here was the most gorgeous woman he had ever seen sitting next to him, and she was going to a meeting for nymphomaniacs! Struggling to maintain his composure he calmly asked, "What's your business role at this convention?"

"Lecturer," she responded. "I use my experience to debunk some of the popular myths about sexuality."

"Really", he smiled, "what myths are those?"

"Well," she explained, " one popular myth is that African American men are the most well endowed when, in fact, it's the Native American Indian who is most likely to possess that trait. Another popular myth is that Frenchmen are the best lovers, when actually it is the men of Greek descent. We have also found that the best potential lovers in all categories are the Irish," Suddenly the woman became uncomfortable and blushed. "I'm sorry," she said, "I really shouldn't be discussing this with you,I don't even know your name."

"Tonto," the man said... "Tonto Papadopoulos , but my friends call me Paddy."
