Life SUcks ANd Then You Die

I just wonder how many of you have lived your life to the fullest in regards to your age

You wont really know till you're at the end of your life will you? Its like looking at the small scale while trying to comment on the big picture.
What exactly do you mean by living to the fullest anyway? If you mean living solely to be happy, or living that you're happy, then I think many of us would have lived to the fullest.
If you mean going out every day to Orchard Road with gel in your hair as think as clay and meaningless jaunts with people that dont really know you very well..
I dont know but that doesnt really sound like living to the fullest.

I don't know if you remember my old signature quote, "The supreme irony of life is that no one makes it out alive."

I read that in Job: A Comedy Of Justice by Robert A. Heinlein and found the quote very funny. It's so true.

However, I don't think life "sucks." Sure there are highs and lows, but I just try to make it through each day without any regrets. And for the most part I succeed. Sure, there are times when I wish I had done things differently, but I try to do right and assure myself that that is all that I can do.

And when things get really hectic, I just stop and remind myself that I need a time out. Last night I really wanted to just bury myself in a game of Icewind Dale. My daughter called for me from the basement where she was playing. I hit pause, and went downstairs to do puzzles for about a fifteen minutes or so. I resumed my game later.

So I guess I just try to keep my priorities in line. That way I can feel confident that I have lived my life to the fullest.

Heinlein is one of my all time favorite authors, and I loved JOB: I have the Hard Back editions of a lot of his works.

More on topic however, Life is what you make of it. I don't think anyone ever lives every minute to its fullest potential, but I for one...for the most part have done almost everything I have ever really wanted to do. There are still a few things I have yet to accomplish (swimming with Dolphins in crystal clear water is a biggie)
Mostly I have been there and done that [img]smile.gif[/img] so Im happy.

Only YOU can make your life a fulfilling one.

On a more serious note, I think as children and young people we miss out on truly making the most of our lives since we are in the stages of learning how to go about it.
I've learned to make the most of every minute and to be happy about it all, taking the good with the bad and doing the best with it that I can.
If I die today I can say that given the opportunities I have, I'm well aware that I've missed some cues (and clues lol) here and there but have well made up for it through new doors opening to me. I have lived my life to the fullest of my knowledge, abilities and drive.

The nice thing about memories is that your brain is a really good editor. It filters out and packs away all the bad things that happened, and keeps and polishes up all the good things. That way you can bring your past life back and recycle it for more than it was really worth!

True love, hope, and a healthy mind and body are most of what's required to be happy. Unfortunately, they're not so simple to acheive as they seem.

It something i see a lot at my school
girls only 12 years old trying to be mature
First of all theyr never are (they only get arrogant)
Second: enjoy childhood while you can
It's typical but when students reach the 6th year (US => Senior year)(I'm in 5th but i have the same) they finally realise the fact school wasn't that bad afterall

So far I think of all that could have been and all that i could have become at my current age (17)
And I can't help but think there's so much i missed out on
I guess i have to wait for a couple of years before I'll maybe realise my life ain't that bad afterall
